When Did You Actually Lose Them?
I've been thinking about a strange problem.
A presentation can go really well.
People laugh. They take notes. They compliment you afterward. Maybe they even tell you how much they needed to hear it.
And then nothing happens.
No booking. No client. No next conversation.
Same thing on a sales call.
The prospect sounds interested. They ask good questions. They tell you it makes sense.
Then:
"Let me think about it."
Here's the part I find fascinating:
That usually isn't the moment you lost them.
Something happened earlier.
A question you answered when you should have gone deeper.
A transition that quietly changed the energy.
A buying signal that sounded like casual conversation.
A moment where everything still felt good to you, while something had already changed for them.
And because you were the one doing the talking, you probably never saw it.
I've become a little obsessed with this.
Not in a theoretical way.
More in a:
"How many opportunities has this actually cost me?"
kind of way.
On Wednesday night, I'm going to put real presentations and real business conversations under the microscope and show you how to recognize the moments most of us miss while we're in them.
I'll tell you exactly what we're doing tomorrow.
If this sounds like something you need to see, hit reply and just say YES.
I'll make sure you get the details as soon as they're ready.
Ken
P.S. Here's the part I can't stop thinking about: You missed it because of where you were standing when it happened.
