UP FRONT:

Why ‘You’re Crazy’ Might Mean You’re Onto Something Big”

Something wild happened this week that I NEED to share with you...

I bought this incredible domain name. We're talking potential six or seven figures when it's built out. A total steal.

Excited, I told my mom (usually my biggest cheerleader) and shared the news.

Her response? "You're crazy. Why would you do that?"

Ouch. Talk about taking the wind out of my sails.

But you know what? This isn't the first time I've heard "that's crazy" or "it'll never work."

One year ago, when we launched the PrideNomad Letter, the naysayers came out in force:

"The market's too small."
"No one needs this."
"It'll never work."

Well...

checks notes

Here we are. ONE YEAR LATER (yes, yesterday we released our anniversary issue—yay us!).

Thousands of readers strong, and more joining us Every. Single. Day.

And now?

We're about to drop the book the naysayers said would "never sell."

(Because apparently the world doesn't need a nomad guide that knows the difference between good wifi and good drag shows... 🙄)

We’ve built a thriving, growing global community.

And we're about to launch two world-record setting campaigns that will be absolute game-changers for our LGBTQ+ nomad family.

(13.5 million potential readers globally = "too small" of a market? Please... 🙄)

As Steve Jobs perfectly put it:

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo... Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

Sound familiar? It should.

Because as entrepreneurs and business owners, we've ALWAYS been the ones who see things others don't.

And that's our superpower, not our weakness.

Think about it...

Steve Jobs saw a world where computers would be beautiful and simple to use. People laughed.

Henry Ford imagined cars for everyone when horses were still the main ride. People thought he was nuts.

And let's get real - how many of us were told that living and working from anywhere was "just a dream"?

(Yeah, how's that working out for the doubters now? 😎)

Here's the truth: Your crazy ideas aren't crazy.

They're just too big for some people to understand.

And that's perfectly okay.

Now look... let's keep it real.

Not every idea is a winner. Some ideas truly SUCK.

(Trust me, I've had my share of those too.)

That's why you need to find your tribe of "yes, and..." people.

You know, those beautiful souls who might not totally get your vision...

But instead of shutting you down, they say things like:

"Interesting... and what if you tried it THIS way?"

"Have you thought about approaching it from THIS angle?"

Or even: "I'm not sure it'll work exactly like that... but here's how we could make it stronger."

THESE are the people you want in your corner.

Because sometimes your "crazy" idea just needs a different spin to become brilliant.

It's like improv - nobody stops the show by saying "no." They build on what's there.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Want to know what tribe encouraged me to create THIS newsletter and so much more? It’s my secret weapon that I rarely ever share with anyone. Best mastermind I’ve ever been in—bar none. Check it out »

One year ago, the PrideNomad Letter was just a "crazy idea."

Today? It's a movement.

Tomorrow? Well... just wait until you see what we've got planned.

So here's my challenge to you:

Take that wild idea you've been sitting on.

That "crazy" dream you've been afraid to pursue.

Share it with people who'll help it grow... not shut it down.

And instead of asking "What if it fails?"

Ask yourself:

"What if it works? What if I'm right? What if this changes everything?"

Because dear reader, you're not crazy.

You're a visionary.

And the world needs your vision now more than ever.

So go ahead. Take that leap.

Make that move.

Build that dream.

Remember: Every great change in history started with someone who refused to listen to the naysayers - but had the wisdom to collaborate with the dreamers.

Look at where we are now. Look at where YOU could be a year from now.

Be that someone. ✨

THIS WEEK’S BIZ QUIZ:

Which major insurance company began as an express mail business in the old American West?

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter.

STRATEGIC THINKING:

Why Micro-Influencers Are Crushing The Big Dogs (And How To Use This In Your Business)

Ever notice how those "mega influencer" campaigns feel about as authentic as a gas station Rolex?

That's because they ARE.

And your customers can spot it immediately.

But there's a smarter play happening right now...

One that smart brands are using to build REAL loyalty (and make an absolute killing while doing it).

Enter: Micro-influencers.

These aren't your typical "do it for the gram" influencers with millions of followers...

They're smaller creators (5,000-50,000 followers) who actually give a damn about their audience.

And here's proof this works:

Daniel Wellington (the watch company) built a $200+ million brand using exactly this strategy.

Instead of blowing their budget on celebrities...

They partnered with micro-influencers who showed their watches in real, everyday situations.

Gave them personal discount codes...

And let them be style ADVISORS rather than just hollow promotion machines.

The results? They basically wrote the playbook that every D2C brand tries to copy now.

Want to steal this strategy? Here's how:

  1. Find Your People
Look for influencers with engaged audiences of 5,000-50,000 followers in your space. Use tools like Upfluence/Heepsy, or just manually search Instagram/TikTok.

  2. Make It Educational
Don't ask them to "sell." Have them TEACH:
    • Skincare brand? Do tutorials
    • Fitness product? Create challenges
    • SaaS tool? Show real workflow improvements

  3. Let Them Be Real
The magic happens when influencers tell authentic stories about your product. Let them do their thing.

Here's your action step:

  1. Find 10-15 micro-influencers in your niche TODAY.

  2. Test small collaborations.

  3. Focus on engagement rates over follower count.

  4. And watch what happens when you let real people tell real stories about you and your brand.

Because in 2025...

Authenticity sells more than perfection ever will.
