UP FRONT:
The Sneaky Cross-Sell Strategy That Could Add Six Figures to Your Bottom Line
Most business people get only half of the business model right…and they leave huge growth potential on the table.
They think the money is in the sale itself.
You’ve got a product, you market it, someone buys, and boom—money in the bank, right? Well, not exactly.
The real gold lies in what happens after that initial sale.
There’s a strategy that the pros quietly use to stack cash, and it’s something you can start doing today. It’s called cross-selling by association, and it works like a charm, especially if you have a small audience.
Here’s how it works:
1. Start with your core offer: Let’s say you’re selling an online course on productivity. You send out emails, run ads, and convert a bunch of people. Great! But some folks (most folks!) don’t buy—and here’s where the fun begins.
2. Segment your audience: You’ve got people who purchased, and people who didn’t. Most marketers would focus solely on converting the buyers into repeat customers, but why not tap into the non-buyers too? Here’s where you pivot.
3. The low-ticket offer for non-buyers: Those who didn’t buy your high-ticket course? They’re still interested in the topic, just not ready to commit to your big offer. So, you hit them with a lower-priced product or service, something like a $47 “productivity jumpstart guide” or a $97 workshop. It’s a low-risk entry point, and it keeps them in your world. Think of it as a “downsell for non-buyers”.
4. Leverage partnerships for extra revenue: Now, let’s add some magic. You don’t need to just sell your stuff. Cross-selling works brilliantly when you partner with other businesses that complement your offer. In this example, maybe you team up with a software company that has a time-management tool. They’re not your competition, but they serve the same audience. You make an affiliate deal with them and offer their product as a follow-up.
Imagine the email you could send:
“Hey, since you’re working on your productivity game, here’s a tool that will cut your time spent on tasks by 50%. And for being part of our community, you’ll get an exclusive discount.”
5. Re-engage with personalized offers: This strategy isn’t a one-off. You can continue cross-selling to these segments. For your buyers, you can upsell related services or premium offers, while continuing to offer relevant, lower-cost solutions to non-buyers until they’re ready for the big-ticket item.
6. Automate the process: Here’s where it gets even more fun. Once you’ve set this system up, you can automate everything with an email sequence that runs on autopilot. Imagine every new subscriber getting introduced to your product, followed by complementary offers—whether they buy or not. And every time they click on something, you’ve got an affiliate commission or an upsell waiting for them.
The power of cross-selling by association lies in leveraging not only your own products but also the products and services of others. The beauty? You don’t need a massive list. This works even with a small, engaged audience.
For instance, if you sell a $47 guide and partner with a software company offering a $20/month subscription, you could easily bring in an extra few thousand dollars a month just by cross-promoting. Scale that, and you’re looking at six figures a year, all without creating anything new.
So, stop thinking of the sale as the end. Instead, view it as the beginning of a long, profitable relationship—with both your audience and your partners.
Have fun!!
THIS WEEK’S QUIZ:

STRATEGIC THINKING:
Could this secret weapon skyrocket your business visibility and authority?
Ever feel like you’re missing out on something big? Like there’s a huge opportunity just waiting for you, but you haven’t quite tapped into it yet? Well, let me introduce you to the one thing that could completely transform your business: starting a video podcast.
In today’s world, visibility is everything. You’re constantly working to get noticed, build trust with your audience, and attract clients.
But with traditional methods, there’s only so far you can go. That’s where a video podcast comes in—it’s not just content, it’s an asset that keeps giving long after you’ve hit the stop button.
Imagine this: instead of chasing after every new lead, your podcast becomes a magnet, drawing in the right people, building your authority, and expanding your reach.
You’re not just creating a piece of content—you’re building a long-lasting tool that works for you 24/7. Who wouldn’t want that?
My friend Kay Suthar knows firsthand the incredible power of video podcasting.
In just 12 weeks, she managed to not only grow her business but absolutely transformed her world it by using podcasting as a core part of her marketing strategy. And when I say transformed it, I mean:
• She was invited to speak on 4 live stages.
• Built 22 partnerships, joint ventures, and collaborations.
• Scored 15 speaking opportunities on virtual stages.
• Tripled her email list.
• Gained 8 new clients.
• And generated $31,751 in revenue—all from podcasting!
It’s not magic—it’s just the power of getting your voice (and face!) out there in a way that connects with people beyond the usual marketing channels.
Video podcasts create a deeper connection with your audience, positioning you as a thought leader, and setting you up to scale your business faster than you might think.
Here’s the good news: you don’t need fancy equipment, editing skills, or a giant audience to get started.
Kay is hosting a free 4-day challenge starting on September 16th to show you exactly how you can launch your own video podcast and start reaping the rewards.
You’ll get actionable steps that you can implement immediately, no matter where you are in your business journey.

SUCCESS STORY: WE LOVE TO BRAG!
We’ve been running our Launch Your Newsletter Challenge and our participants have been creating terrific results.
During the challenge, they launch their first edition within 5 days. That’s pretty fabulous.
But they they go on to greatness.
For example, check out F*ck Menopause.
Yes, you read it right.
Our challenger, Afeeya Zumrut, is using the newsletter to reach out to clients and potential clients with information about the stages of Menopause. Educating with some advice and options; throwing in my own experiences here and there to let women know they are not alone. There are so many women who are not, and will not, breeze through Menopause; I want to provide community and possibilities where they may just want to scream about what a shitty experience they're having with it all.
Congrats, Afeeya!
