UP FRONT:
Did We Crack The Instagram Marketing Code?
Instagram has become a powerhouse for businesses, especially if you want to reach a younger audience. But like any powerful tool, it’s all about knowing how to use it effectively. Here are some best practices that can help you get the most out of your Instagram marketing:
• Know Your Audience: Before you start posting, take the time to understand who your audience is. What are their interests? What kind of content do they engage with most? Tailor your content to meet their needs and capture their attention.
• Consistency is Key: Posting regularly helps keep your brand top-of-mind. Aim to post at least once a day, and make sure your posts are visually appealing and aligned with your brand’s message.
• Engage with Your Followers: Don’t just post and disappear. Respond to comments, like and comment on other users’ posts, and make an effort to engage with your community. This not only builds relationships but also boosts your visibility on the platform.
• Use Hashtags Wisely: Hashtags are a great way to reach new audiences, but don’t overdo it. Use relevant hashtags that are popular within your niche, and consider creating a unique hashtag for your brand.
• Leverage Stories and Reels: Instagram Stories and Reels are powerful tools for increasing engagement. Use them to share behind-the-scenes content, promote limited-time offers, or showcase user-generated content.
These strategies can help you build a strong presence on Instagram, but as effective as they are, they still require a lot of manual effort. And that brings us to a common challenge:
As powerful as Instagram marketing is, it comes with its own headaches. If you’ve tried reaching out to potential clients or collaborators, you’ve probably hit some roadblocks (understatement).
For example, while you can easily scrape data from LinkedIn (which is how we reach many of our other newsletter subscribers—were invited to the PrideNomad Letter), doing that with Instagram is nearly impossible.
Manually sending cold DMs, keeping track of who you’ve messaged, following up, and managing multiple accounts—it’s a lot to handle and almost impossible to do consistently at scale. That’s why Instagram marketing has mostly been an organic strategy, rather than a direct outreach one.
Until now.
We may have cracked the code (cue the happy dance).
Actually, we’ve found the geniuses that cracked the code.
We love finding great hacks that let us become better marketers!

They’ve created a tool that might solve all these problems. It could completely transform the way you approach Instagram outreach. Imagine automating your cold DMs, effortlessly targeting the right audience, and managing multiple accounts from one simple dashboard. Sounds like a dream, right?
We’re working with a development team that seems to have solved all the challenges. They’ve created advanced technology that’s really impressed us. So much so, that we’re partnering with them and now actively testing it in our own businesses.
Here’s what’s got us excited:
• Effortless Automation: No more spending hours on manual outreach. This tool handles everything for you—from sending initial messages to automatically following up—so you can focus on closing deals.
• Advanced Targeting: It’s smart enough to find the exact people you want to connect with, filtering out the noise and honing in on those most likely to respond.
• Scalable Management: Got multiple accounts, products, or brands? No problem. This tool lets you manage them all in one place, making it super easy to scale your efforts.
We’re putting this tool to the test, and if it performs as well as we hope, we’ll be sharing the results with the entire PrideNomad community. But here’s the thing: If it works as expected, we’ll be rolling it out gradually.
We want to make sure our most engaged members get first access.
If you’re curious about how this technology could work for you and want to be the first to hear about our test results, just reply “INSTAGRAM” to today’s newsletter, and we’ll add you to the list. Trust me, you won’t want to miss out on this game-changer!

GUEST WISDOM: MARK ALBERT
CEO, Media Advisory Experts
The Secrets to Unlocking Free Publicity
Key tricks from a television news veteran on how to capture earned media – even from thousands of miles away.
I’ve always dreamed of being a digital nomad (as Ken is). Having visited 86 countries so far, I’m on a quest to visit them all. What better way to do that than by living the peripatetic lifestyle!
But during my 25 years on-air in journalism, including at CBS News, I’ve always had to be close to a TV studio or newsroom, chasing a story. Now that I’ve stepped away from journalism and run my own media consulting firm, the nomad lifestyle may be within sight.
Over that quarter-century in the news industry, I’ve learned what will get a journalist’s attention – and what pitches will end up in the trash. Here’s the reality: every single day in every newsroom around the globe, journalists are looking for stories. And every day in those communities, there are experts looking for journalists, hoping to get free media coverage. But often the two never meet. And the audience loses valuable stories and insight.
So as a digital nomad, here are some tricks to get free media coverage – “earned media,” as it’s called – no matter where you’re located.
First, stop pitching your company, your product or your brand. Full stop. I know that’s hard to read. You’re probably wondering: well, how am I supposed to get a journalist’s attention? Here’s how: you pitch your expertise, instead.
Let’s say you’re an accountant or tax advisor. You’re in Spain right now with clients across the U.S. Instead of sending story pitches to journalists urging them to cover your company, product or brand, give them the value of your expertise:
• Top 5 Ways to Save Money on Your Taxes Before December 31
• Top 3 Ways to Not Give the IRS an Extra Cent this Tax Day
See what we’re doing there? We’re providing value – our expertise. Of course, if a journalist then interviews you, they’ll mention your name, your company and what you do. But don’t be so blatant as to expect a journalist to be your salesperson.
You might be shocked at how much the press needs YOUR information!

Second, jump on news of the day. When a story breaks in the news, say for example the recent settlement with the National Association of Realtors that’s changing the way anyone in the U.S. buys or sells a home starting this month, craft a pitch interpreting what that breaking news means for the journalist’s readers, listeners and viewers.
If you were a nomad currently in Albania with an expertise in real estate, you could pitch U.S.-based news outlets on:
• Top Ways Buying a Home Is Changing for Everyone in August
• How to Come Out on Top After the Biggest Shakeup to Real Estate Buying in Decades
Don’t wait: when you see news-of-the-day for your expertise, jump on it within an hour so that you’re top of mind to journalists writing about that very topic.
Finally, don’t be shy. You don’t need an expensive PR firm sending out 250 news releases on your behalf. You can do it yourself. Find the journalists who write about your area of expertise. In the newsroom, that’s called a reporter’s “beat,” or coverage area. Follow them on social media. Pitch them directly when you’ve got a story that falls perfectly in their coverage area instead of sending a pitch to a general email address.
Getting people ready for their media moment is the focus of our multi-day media, communications and leadership training camp coming up in Washington, D.C. next month. We’ve even booked a TV studio next to the White House for attendees to practice being on camera and getting clips for their socials and platforms! It’s a one-stop-shop for learning how to get free publicity and grab your slice of the “earned media” pie.
Your competitors are already getting free media coverage. You deserve some, too.

INNER HACK—FROM JOHNSON CHONG:
How to Get Over Your Internal BS (Bad Story)
[Editor’s Note: Johnson Chong is a tuned-in US Expat, currently living in Sydney. He does remarkable energy work and leads transformational programs in fun places around the world]
I used to not feel enough: not intelligent enough, not beautiful enough, not having enough ... not being enough.
In a world that often measures worth by external achievements and comparisons, it's easy to fall into the trap of the negative subconscious belief that you are not enough.
The first step in reconciling the untrue story of 'you not being enough,' is to name it. Call a spade a spade out loud. Then, you reframe it with the true statement of just how enough you are.
Here is a quick 3 min reel I just recorded on instagram that you can do as a practice.
It's short, sweet and effective. Do it and see how the exercise lands in your body.
Do this enough, and you will have the confidence and creative boost to activate your dreams, form more meaningful relationships, and live authentically.
Just as my teachers had to remind me time and time again, 'just by being here, you are enough. You are more than enough.'
RESOURCES:
We’re big believers in diversified income generation. We want to work less and play more…so we enthusiastically advocate that you consider investing (wisely) in a variety of areas.
Two of our favorites are below (with deals just for us!)
The Crypto Mastermind. This program, by long-term friend John Limbocker, is a gift to us. John wants to get you educated about the right, safe way to invest in the crypto markets. He’s making an irresistible offer to the PrideNomad community, which he’s agreed to extend to Business Impact subscribers as well.
The Surprising Real Estate Strategy. We mentioned this one recently (above, in fact), and it’s a unique and timeless strategy to help you create significant income streams.
